"I am all about work."

Joe

Joe has been a client of Goodwill programs for several years and he has enjoyed working at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for the past eight years. He spent some time on the grounds crew and currently works for Service Systems Associates, a food service contractor, where his duties include serving food, washing dishes, sweeping, and busing tables, his favorite task. Joe takes his work seriously and he likes his co-workers and talking with visitors to the zoo. "The Zoo has been my favorite job of all," Joe says. Eventually he may try some other type of work at the zoo if an opportunity comes up. He has already proven to be a valuable employee and he likes to learn, so he's confident he can do almost anything he tries. Living at home with his mother, he works hard at the Zoo each season and saves his money so he can take time off during the winter months. When he's not working, Joe loves to travel with his family. They've taken numerous trips to Niagra Falls and this year, they'll be traveling to Las Vegas for the first time. "That's what I'm saving my money for," Joe says.
