Goodwill offers an exceptionally broad variety of programs and services for people with disabilities, disadvantages and other special needs. They include:
- An array of education programs that range from Adult Basic Education classes in reading, writing and mathematics, to computer training, to English as a Second Language, to driver training.
- Job training and workforce development programs to help people find employment.
- Several community services including a senior center for people with developmental disabilities, a variety of residential programs, and a food pantry.
Goodwill SWPA is committed to professional development for our staff members. Staff in licensed programs participate in at least 24 hours of training annually and all staff receive annual training in critical life safety issues. Goodwill SWPA offers staff the opportunity to attain the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification, and numerous staff members have attained this prestigious credential. The Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential designates individuals who work in a variety of career development settings as having met the requirements set forth by the Center for Credentialing & Education, Inc. (CCE®) for the GCDF certification.
