testing: Helps clients learn about their job preferences and aptitudes.

responses to specific work situations.

Word
Processing Clerk Diploma Program
Qualified office
personnel are integral to the success of every business. Goodwill
Employment Training Centers Word Processing Clerk Diploma Program
prepares students for employment in educational institutions, large
corporations, small businesses, financial and legal institutions,
health care facilities, and word processing centers. Graduates will
have the added support of the Community employment Services Office

Medical
Office Clerk Diploma Program
Qualified allied
health professionals are integral to the success of every medical
office. Goodwill Employment Training Center's Medical Office Clerk
Diploma Program prepares students for employment in hospitals, physician's
offices, long-term health care facilities, medical labs, insurance
companies and outpatient clinics. Graduates will have the added support
of the Community Employment Services Office at Goodwill to aid in
the search of related employment.

Short-Term
Computer Training
Goodwill Computer
Training Courses provide instruction at both beginner and intermediate
levels. You can select to study from a variety of software applications.
Each course is economically priced and available at a variety of scheduled
times. Students can choose from the following topics: Basic Computer
Skills, Internet Fundamentals, Word, Excel, Access, or PowerPoint.

Driver's
Education
The two primary
goals of Goodwill's driver training program are to provide students
with the skills and knowledge required to pass the Pennsylvania driver's
road test and to foster and encourage a life-long commitment to safe
driving. The course is open to the general public- including persons
of legal driving age who have never driven before, and licensed operators
who want to improve their driving skills, get up to date on new traffic
laws, and possibly qualify for significant discounts on their auto
insurance.

Work Training Opportunities
Goodwill Industries
work training programs assist persons with disabilities and other
barriers to employment to make life choices that will help them to
become confident and interdependent members of their community. Training
opportunities include: Food service, Janitorial and housekeeping,
retail, production, clerical, dock and warehouse, security, childcare,
human service aide, as well as a variety of partnership training opportunities
with commu7nity employers.

Community-Based
Work-Training Opportunities
Goodwill's Employment
Services Department provides job-search assistance, one to one job
skills training, placement and follow-up support services for clients
and employers in various settings and situations in the community.
Competitive Supported Employment: Combines a competitive job with
on going training and support provided by a Goodwill Employment Specialist
at the workplace. Long tern follow-up and intervention services also
are provided as required. Community Partnerships: Teams of Goodwill
trainees work at community based sites with the assistance of Goodwill
trainers. The trainees are hired by employers to work alongside traditional
employees.
